panfandom, keep it au, good advice given. go with your gut.
original characters, miss it want it should just go with it unless people seem interested otherwise
technically could do both? but the mix of real life pbs and animanga would be a bit jarring.
choice of played-by
real life: variety, brings more "realness," less potential for weirdness using rl faces
animanga: could attract more people, potential to recolor manga images or lift from a variety of manga/shows/movies/etc
application
anonymous?? might be good for people who don't want everyone to know who they are playing, anonymity for roles as well. plotting could take place in ooc posts or contact journal posts. could be bad for people who want to use plurk to rehash (note to self: get a plurk??? rely on mod post?)
make the application be posted in a journal/some other site for cleanliness, could link to it in character profile. the simplicity of the posted app in the entry for acceptance would make it easier to hide roles?
city choices
shamelessly leaning toward Beijing at this point mostly because of the Heaven and Earth temples. hilariously perfect. Mexico City has so much amazing lore with Aztecs and would possibly offer a better environment/diverse characters?
time frame
current time. possible start in mid-July with people discovering about it in August? ill timing, especially for school but activity wouldn't need to be that extreme, regardless.
